Key Bios - Stan Berry

Stan Berry, Deputy Director of Operations. 

   

    B.A. - Speech Communications - California State University, Long Beach

    M.A. - History from Old Dominion University

    Post-M.A. - The American University, Washington, D.C. 

 

Stan combined his educational background with two years of enlisted and nine years of commissioned service in the United States Marine Corps, sixteen years as a Mr. Mom, eight years as a home-school teacher of his three children, and a love of U.S. naval and military history  to meet his expanding responsibilities at the Museum.  Stan’s career with the Museum began as a volunteer in 2000.  Soon, he came aboard “officially” as Program Manager, and thereafter, year-after-year, increased his responsibilities as, Director of Operations, and Director of Museum Interpretation & Education.   Currently, as Deputy Director of Operations, Stan is responsible for managing the Education and Interpretation Departments, docent training streams, programs development, interpretive volunteers, operations coordination, statistical analysis, and proactive marketing of programs.
